This is my wife’s theory, one which I like and makes me laugh at the same time (not at her at the people involved).
Bush’s win means not only that he will get a second term, that he gained a certain ‘edict’, if you will, to carry on but most of all that Hollywood and the entertainment industry has no power, moral authority, or say in American politics.
How funny is that! Take that Hollywood and crawl back into your holes and make us laugh…thanks for the entertainment during this political season but we don’t care what you think! We want you to entertain us. Thanks for all the free concerts and the cameo appearances all over the place, but we don’t care what you think! Go back to Hollywood and do what you do best (at least some of you) and entertain us!
