I know this is probably sacreligious, but I couldn’t pass this up! In London, Madame Tussauds wax museum has put together a new and improved nativity scene featuring prominent celebrities of today. David Beckham and Posh Spice (his wife) are Joseph & Mary with George W. Bush and Tony Blair as 2 of the 3 wise men and Hugh Grant & Samuel L. Jackson as shepherds. Kylie Minogue even made it in as an angel! Here’s a link to the article on foxnews.com. The picture itself cracks me up! But I guess there are a ton of people upset over this thing and Christian leaders have already jumped all over it (shocker!) and have denounced it.
When will Christians ever stop denouncing or condemning things and start having a sense of humor? Maybe if we did, the world would take notice and wonder what ever happened to the crusty and crotchity old Christians. Ever wonder if that’s why people poke so much fun at Christians and do things like this nativity scene because they know they’ll get a rise out of us? How would they react if we laughed right along with them?
