Protester outside Schiavo’s hospice arrested for trying to bring her water
Protesters are being arrested outside of Schiavo’s hospice in an attempt to bring her water. What are they thinking?! What good is that going to do for her? She can’t drink…do they think they can just dump it on her face, or pour it in her mouth? She’ll drown! What good would that do?!
Maybe they think they can do this, that she can drink because of the images they see on tv. All I ever see is pictures/video of Schiavo moving around, smiling a little, being responsive in some way. So, maybe the reason for this is because the media’s portrayal of Schiavo is that she is still mobile. Maybe that’s why there is more outcry than usual is because people see her that way and not in a persistent vegetative state. So, maybe they’re doing this because the media is portraying an image of her that simply isn’t true…
