I just don’t get it. I just don’t understand how a pastor, Fred Phelps, can be so dead wrong about God and yet feel like he is so right? How he can be the judge of someone’s eternal fate when that’s God’s role. I like how my friend Tim said, “I think there are going to be a lot of surprises on the other side.” I think he’s right.
What do you do about something like this? Especially when Phelps said, “I love these people.” Really, you do? It doesn’t seem that way.
Jesus said, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” I don’t like your brand of love Phelps, it doesn’t sound like something Jesus would have done.
My stomach churns with such a deep ill feeling…my heart breaks as I see these people dragging my God’s name through the dirt. God reveal yourself to them
