so, i was sitting in the dining room doing some homework when all of a sudden high pitch squeels, yelling and screaming began to make their way down the hallway from the family room. i couldn’t even imagine what was going on in there since no one else was home.
curiously i walked into the family room and realized that the television had turned on to record Oprah for my mom. i stood there in amazement as Oprah made her grand appearance and shots of the audience revealed women, lots and lots of women doing 1 of 2 things–screaming or crying.
‘you’ve got to be kidding me’ i thought, ‘there are people actually crying when she steps out on stage?’ the volume and intensity of the raving lunatics got louder and louder and louder as Oprah yelled, and waved to everyone. ‘holy crap’, i thought to myself, ‘you’d think they just saw jesus!’ but then again…i’m not so sure he would’ve gotten the same reception.
