it’s a sad state of affairs when the government has to legislate good parenting. the trend of “hands-off” parenting and “friendship” parenting seems to continue (and is possibly growing) and in the process churns out more and more children into adulthood that don’t understand work ethic, life, etc. when will this country begin to parent their kids once again?
i remember a day when it was disobedience to leave the dinner table without asking permission, and a day when at a restaurant you had to stay seated. it’s more than a little frustrating when eating dinner you have a little kid whose parents have given him/her free reign to the entire restaurant. they run under tables and around the place screaming and yelling. take care of your damn kid!
maybe instead of legislating video games they should be legislating a list of parental rules to be adhered to!
