finally, an organization that shows you what you can do other than just blindly giving them money. i looked and looked as a youth minister to find something like this…and finally i have found it! worldvision has put out a gift catalog that you can purchase gifts for entire villages:
- send a child to school for one year – $75
- give a farm – $2,180
- build a well – $16,000
- give a dairy cow – $545
- give a sheep-$95
and so much more!
it’s tremendous what can be done with just a little bit of cash. in fact, the deep well provides clean water for an entire village that is dependent on contaminated water…not only that, but a well of this type (clean water) cuts the child mortality rate in that village in half!
