this is an interesting article from ABC News that outlines the massive shift in teenagers thinking about Jesus…but the majority of the reason is because of the evangelistic efforts that are being employed, which is basically giving kids a cool, alternative social life which opposes the party scene. but there’s a problem: “Religious groups are trying to find ever new ways for young people to see themselves as different, It enables a young person to be more expressive, but it isn’t exactly countercultural…There’s a drive to market Jesus as cool, make Jesus a rock star…then you can get the kids interested.”
is this the point? is this how Jesus presented himself?
