how bout them illini taking down michigan state 60-50. dee brown was unstoppable (34 pts), and the defense was smothering! (michigan state averages 80 points a game–not tonight!) if illinois can find another major scorer to pick up the slack, other than dee, they’re going to be real hard to beat! it’s a good year once again in illini-land, a good year indeed!
this was a big test…and they passed!
