four posts into his new blog and driscoll is off with a bang sharing questions and observations that are important for the christian community as a whole to wrestle with, struggle with and work together towards resolution. he does a very good job with these things. he’s a lightning rod just as mclaren…just on the different side of the theological spectrum.

however, sometimes it just feels as if it’s a blog to boost his status/ego (call it what you will) since all he seems to do is drop names. today it was about an invite-only luncheon with chuck colson, the day before a luncheon with ravi zacharias and the day before that a special lunch with dr. schuller…the first post was full of name dropping and talking about his books and accomplishments. i’m not very interested in hearing about the christian celebrities he knows and has lunch with but rather his thoughts and ideas about things.
