do you notice anything disturbing in this paragraph?
“The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation that would make it a felony to be in the U.S. illegally, impose new penalties on employers who hire illegal immigrants, require churches to check the legal status of people they help, and erect fences along one-third of the U.S.-Mexican border.”
this just seems a little ridiculous that policies are being legislated requiring the church to do something before it can act as the church should act… so, it’ll now be a felony (once the senate passes it) for the church to help certain people. i hope the church isn’t so fearful of the government that they stop being the church.
