this morning on my way to class i was listening to talk radio when this host came screaming through the speakers… “the american bible society, printers and keepers of the new testament won’t print copies of the new testament with a cover that reads ‘Jesus loves porn stars’ because they feel it is inappropriate. doesn’t Jesus love everyone? who are these guys to say who Jesus loves and doesn’t love? maybe they don’t really know Jesus…” later on the host admitted to not being a Christian.

xxxchurch.com paid the american bible society (whose slogan, ironically enough, is ‘Good News for Everyone) to print 10,000 copies of the new testament with the cover pictured above so that they could pass them out at conferences and help pursuade people to give up porn for Jesus. according to the american bible society, the message on the cover is “misleading and inappropriate for a new testament” and therefore has refused to print the new testament with the proposed cover for this ministry.

i’m not sure what new testament they’re reading or printing, but the Jesus depicted in the New Testament I read has him hanging out with prostitutes and the undesirables of the day… i think Jesus does love porn stars… just like he loves everyone else.
