From June 9 to July 9, 2006, 12 German cities will host the World Cup Games with about 3 million football fans attending. It is estimated that 40,000 women will be imported from Central and Eastern Europe into Germany to sexually service the men.

Germany legalized pimping and prostitution in 2002. In preparation for this influx, the German sex industry has erected a massive prostitution complex for the increased business of sexual exploitation that is expected during the games.

The country’s largest and most luxurious brothel opend a few months ago in Berlin. Its facilities occupy 400 square metres and its 70 rooms can cater to some 600 clients a day.

In the German capital, sponssors are being sought to distribute 100,000 condoms in the vicinity of the Olympic stadium, and the town halls of the 12 cities that will host the football championship plan to provide speical licences so that sex workers can offer their services on the street.
