so today i went to the hospital to check on my dad who was having out-patient surgery and was scheduled at 9:30am this morning… (i showed up around 2:30 in the afternoon since he still wasn’t out of the hospital.) when i got there i went to the same-day surgery desk to check in and see what was going on and to my surprise this is the answer i got: "james monts? ummmm…. we think he’s here. let me check." (10 minutes or so pass) "james monts? ummmm…. how do you spell that? ummm…. we can’t find him. we think he’s in pre-op, but… ummm… we’re not sure. let’s go back there and see if we can find him."
so we walked back there and didn’t find him. then we found one of the surgical nurses behind a desk and asked of his whereabouts only to receive this response: "ummmm… james monts? ummm….. ummmm…. is he in pre-op?" no. "ummmmm…. well, we don’t have any record of a james monts back here…. ummmm…."
to which the sweet little old lady volunteer interjected, "ummm, sir. i’m sure we’ll find him soon."
soon happened an hour and a half later.
and thus concludes my story of my favorite hospital visit ever. (and no this did not occur at the hospital in lincoln, il)
