i just got done with an interview with bob folstrom, one of the local newspaper reporters in town who wanted to sit down and talk with me about all the positive things and growth that we’re experiencing here at heartland. it was a fun time full of pictures and stories as we talked about where we’re heading as a church and what we hope to see and be a part of in the future!
he plans to publish the "positive side of heartland" on tuesday, which is really exciting to have some positive things said publicly about the church for a change! (yes, i actually trust bob to write something positive since he’s a family friend…) it’s been a hard year for the church, and this could certainly help boost morale to see something positive about our community in the paper.
i’m looking forward to reading the story which will be published on tuesday (12.5) in the decatur herald & review. if it’s good (and linkable) i’ll post it then…
