david leonhardt wrote an intriguing article entitled ‘what $1.2 trillion can buy.’Â it’s a very interesting look at this astronomical number and how one chooses to spend money….
how would you spend your $1.2 trillion?

I’m sorry. All I can think about is how much of that I’d have to pay in taxes….
I knew without even clicking or moving over the link it had to be something from the NY Times, aka, The Michael Moore Gazette.
that’s the most ridiculous comment i’ve ever heard. if you would have read the article you’d see something far different than a “liberal-hate mongering article bashing the heaven ordained bush administration”. this article brought up a great number of good points and things to think about especially in relation to the failed doctrine of redemptive violence.
maybe instead of “considering the source” people should try and read something for themselves first before passing judment on the “source”—especially considering that the “source” was deemed evil by others continuing down the winding road of people who cannot think for themselves.
Don’t you have to consider the source when you read anything though? I did read the article, but just as I read Fox News with the thought that ok, they probably lean more conservative right so that is their slant on things. When a paper is renown for it’s super liberal bias, and mega anti-bush anti-anything conservative stance, you have to view it that way. If I posted articles from the ultra right Newsmax.com here everyday, wouldnt you say consider the source?
don’t you have to consider the source when you read anything? no… not before you read it because then you come into it with all sorts of preconceived notions about what is going to be in it and you will never learn to think on your own.
and no, if it was from newsmax.com i wouldn’t say consider your source, i would argue from the facts instead of the weak position of “they’re just conservative.”
I guess we’ll agree to disagree then…I read everything with the context of who it came from first…it doesnt mean I wont read it or even agree with them..everyone has a slant.
