there’s a time for rest, and that time is now. tracy and i made our “getaway” to mt. vernon this weekend in order to clear our heads, get some rest, and just be. it’s been great! i spent most of the day yesterday in my pj’s lounging around on the couch, watching illinois basketball and happy gillmore—interspersed with a little greek study for seminary. we spent last night hanging out with tracy’s best friend and fiance playing games and eating some great food… it’s been a great little escape.
i don’t think i’ve realized just how tired i am, just how worn down and worn out my body has gotten from this last season of life. everyday i seem to find myself ready for bed around 8:30, and worn out much earlier than that. my body ache’s with exhaustion and at times my brain feels like mush. i’m looking forward to this season of rest. i’m not sure how long that’ll last, but i’m starting to enjoy it!
