so the past couple of days have been a little frustrating. monday morning was spent on the phone getting transferred all over the place trying to find a specialist that would see me for the immense amounts of pain that i’ve been experiencing in my lower back… i was finally able to get in to see my general practictioner and set up for a CT scan… of course we both knew what the results would be—kidney stones. (and the song replays in my head: a kidney stone, a kidney stone hurts so bad that i wanna go home.)
this morning the results were in… and the preliminary diagnosis was only partly correct. yes, it was a kidney stone… but not just 1—no, that would be too easy! there are 2, one in each kidney. the fortunate thing is that they are still small enough to pass (if you can really call that fortunate.) so, here we go again, after 14 years of kidney stones you’d think it’d get a little easier…. think again, this ought to be fun!

Oh Aaron… I’m so sorry. That’s awful. And I remember you telling me about kidney stones when you were at NPCCC. I really will pray for you man. I hope its quick.

i guess i need to booze it up just a little bit more! (or maybe i need to follow the doc’s instructions and actually drink a beer every so often!)
