it took me a long time to ever sign up for myspace in the first place, and all it has been for me is a pain in the neck. it’s painfully slow, full of advertisments (say what you will about them) and it’s difficult to get anything done with it in a decent amount of time. so, i am migrating away fom myspace for the much faster, much easier, much prettier, and better social networking site virb.com you can find my profile, etc at virb.com/monts.
if more people join me in this quest, this could actually be a great site. it’s relatively new in existence, but 100 times better. as of 5:00 today, i will be a vapor in the world of myspace.
peace out.

I have a MySpace page, and hate it. I can’t see what peoplel like about it.
What are the benefits of having MySpace or Virb over a regular blog?
i think the only benefits are that you can connect with people easier because that’s what they’re there for… that’s the only benefit i can see. honestly, if virb doesn’t take off and people don’t start showing up at it, i’ll probably shut it down eventually and not use one at all.
it’s been neat to connect with people from the past through myspace—but it’s too frustrating to deal with. hopefully virb takes off and changes all that.

embrace the addiction
well, i guess it’s not very easy to quit myspace—although the process has begun it will take up to 48 hours from now to evaporate… oh well, at least the pain is over and freedom has begun!
(while cancelling you get to tell them why you want to cancel…)
hey monts, can you take a look at this and give me your thoughts. We were thinking of using them for some web applications with the church as well…have you heard of them?
