i haven’t watched the video in a while so i may be restating something that was contained within, but i can’t help but think how much the worship industry has helped and hurt the church. it has helped to get us outside of our little boxes made of ticky-tacky, while at the same time hurting us by taking away the unique worshipping voice of the local congregation. by this i mean every cultural context seemingly worships with the same song with no variation because of the “worship industry”. this isn’t necessarily “evil” but it certainly doesn’t seem to lend the congregation to be true to itself…
