10. Buyer shows up to the closing and hasn’t yet closed on the loan for the house.
9. Buyer’s mortgage company is an on-line company that no one has ever heard of before.
8. Buyer’s mortgage company has sent over the wrong paperwork with the wrong figures and wrong amounts for him to sign.
7. Buyer begins to get angry swearing at and berating the closing agent.
6. Closing agent has difficulty getting ahold of the mortgage company to get the correct paperwork.
5. Buyer threatens to get up and walk away from the sale blaming all the problems on the closing agent.
4. Closing agent gets stern with the buyer causing him to get even more angry and swear even more.
3. Buyer gets on the phone with his mortgage company to decry the injustice he is facing at the hands of the title company and threatens once again to get up and walk away from the sale.
2. Buyer does not have the proper “method of payment” to give to the title company causing more swearing and anger. Buyer then must get up, leave the table, and go to the bank in order to get the proper method of payment. (Wonderful, the buyer has now left the building and we have no idea whether or not he will return.)
1. Buyer returns to the table reeking of alcohol and has a “hidden” stash alongside of him in his dufflebag.

As comical as these situations may seem, Tracy and I experienced each and every one of them first hand on May 25th as we sat down with the buyer of our house at the title company. This extremely stressful situation began at 10am and concluded two and a half hours later with Tracy exclaiming: “We are now ‘homeless’ and I’ve never been happier!”
Looking back on the course of events of that day, it is remarkable that the closing actually happened and we were able to walk away with our house sold! We both wanted to say to all of you from the bottom of our hearts, “Thank you so much for your prayers.” We firmly believe that without your prayers the sale would have fallen a part at the table and we’d have to start completely over at square one to try and find a new buyer. So, thank you again and again for lifting us up in your prayers and faithfully petitioning God on our behalf. We wouldn’t be where we are today without you!
