i have touched the iphone…

iphone.jpgand it was good. very good.

i had lunch with my good friend matt today in schaumburg and we ventured over to woodfield mall where inside is the greatest store known to man—the apple store. there were a good amount of people inside and many huddled around the iphone, but one was free and i quickly made way to pick up this little beauty. it was simply amazing… and it lived up to everything they said it would be! the touch screen was phenominal, and the way everything is integrated is tremendous…

it’s very difficult to describe just how useful and great this little device will be (i’m interested to see what 2.0 will be like)… and if it weren’t for the price-tag ($500) i might be really interested in purchasing this sucker!

or for like 350 i can get a 30 gig mp3/video player and a pda. Plus i would never get a first generation anything.

Does anyone just want to make a stinkin phone call anymore? Our owner of course got one immediately and had in the office yesterday. I made a couple calls on it and hated how it felt to talk on. I still like my flip phone the best it actually feels like a phone…then not to mention it is on the worst network around here…cingular/att just flat out sucks in this immediate area…i tried the web surfing a bit and it was extremely slow compared to those using the Q which was using Verizon’s service. Also what happens when the software breaks on the phone? You dont have a normal keypad so you cant make a call…I use my phone for simply that, making phone calls…I dont need a camera, I dont need and mp3 player…and if I want to get online my laptop is suffice now especially now that I have a Sprint broadband card…I may have the “smallest” provider in Nextel, but I have never been to place where I dont get a signal, and for where I am 99% of the time its super crystal clear reception and no dropped calls…my wife is on AT&T and her call quality and signal strength sucks and she constantly has calls dropped.

Just like most Apple products, no thanks…although I will admit their new O.S. does look much improved and as some really nice features.

It uses edge technology which sucks and is retarded as AT&T has now decided to go with 3G. This may explain why it’s slow.
