Visioneering

Multnomah—Church Leadership/Church&Ministry

This is actually the 3rd time I’ve read this book… the first time was several years ago, the second time was about a year ago and the third time (the charm) began at the beginning of this year. I’ve spent some time really reading through this book and gleaning as much information and tools as possible about conveying vision to people. In this respect it has been a fantastic book (I didn’t think this the first 2 times I read it).

I’ve really enjoyed this book and I would have to say that one of the secrets is to actually do the projects at the end of each chapter. You’ll only get as much from this book as you put into it. I would highly recommend this book for anyone that is considering a major life decision, or even just looking to clarify or cast vision more effectively. It has really helped me think through my vision for planting a church in San Francisco—but moreso has helped guide me in the process of making sure that my vision lined up with God’s vision. (This is something that we cannot overlook, but often times do!)

So, pick it up and read it slowly. Take your time and allow the vision that God has placed within you to slowly seep out of you and take hold of your heart in such a way that the vision becomes contagious! (Because the church needs a lot of that too!)
