I see what the church could be and should be doing but not seeing it happen everywhere. so then I turn to the government in hopes that it would step up and make change happen... But of course its not happening there either. I believe change can happen and I would love to see the entire church step up to tackle this but the pessimist in me can't see a united church in the US willing to settle their differences for the good of the Kingdom. I do like the unity that has been coming around lately and the strong ecumenical spirit that is emerging but I'm just not sure I'll see it completely realized in my lifetime. I like your observations rags. For me that’s the great tension.
