songs for the road

| music |

I’ve long been infatuated with the music of David Ford… here’s a great video, that is incorporates an impressive use of loops off his newest CD “Songs for the Road”…

I like the “Hood” poster in his hallway.
Do you listen to Keller Williams? He actually does this on stage live. But David Ford is great too

Jason, he did it with his first song “State of the Union” as well… it’s all one take.

This was the first song of his that I ever heard and one line in it immediately captured my attention:

“what a model of christian behavior, preach on with the message of go fuck thy neighbor. it’s a shame, it’s a shame, it’s a shame…”

the first time i heard that line i was completely blown away by not only the bluntness but the truth within the statement and the perception of christianity in society at large… it makes me wonder how often we truly preach such a thing in our actions… and even in our words in the media.
