I saw a few “music” posts back that you were into Transatlanticism and thereafter Death Cab. Have you checked out The Postal Service? I think you’d quite like it. Ben Gibbard and such… I am so far quite impressed with your playlists, by the way - some great stuff that you can’t just find on the radio - Donovan F., Alexi Murdoch, Nickelcreek, Weezer, Iron and Wine, Azure Ray, Sufjan Stevens, Rilo Kiley, Damien Rice, Joshua Radin….a lot of good stuff!!
The Raconteurs!
Ok so you may hate me for this, but I’m going to say it anyway… but not before a formal precursor… I Love Coldplay! Everything Coldplay!
I’m really not a fan of this new album… I bought it the day it came out (a hard copy, no less) and just haven’t been as pleased with it as I have been on their previous albums. And considering that every week since it’s release it’s been on your playlist I would assume that you disagree. Sorry!
Duane, I do like Postal Service… they’re pretty sweet. Some others that you might enjoy are Jose Gonzalez, Amos Lee, Ray Lamontagne, David Ford and my personal favorite, Meiko!
Jake, you’re smoking crack! Of course I’m gonna disagree with you about the new Coldplay album… but there are some critics that certainly agree with you (but they’re smoking crack too). I think it’s a lot different of a sound than they’re previous ones but still maintains that distinct Coldplay sound… it’s really good.
I like how the lyrics are really mysterious too… leaves a lot up for interpretation.
Well, for starters, I only tried it once! (And that’s not even true.) but second off, I haven’t completely given up on it yet… It’s coldplay so they deserve it.
And last of all, I think I’m gonna steal this whole Friday playlist thing… I like it a lot.

Hey Montsy - Best of luck on the move. Hope everything goes smoothly. I will pray for your family and the church plant right now… no, wait… right NOW.

I’m familiar with the first four, but I suppose I’ll have to look into Meiko.
