This site was started back in 2004 and has undergone many developments as I (Aaron Monts) have grown and changed throughout the years. What started as a place to capture my thoughts eventually evolved into a place where I could share my frustrations and opinions about the Church, Christianity and politics. However, now this space has become something more hopeful. Much of what has taken place in this space has mirrored my own personal journey and today as I find myself in the midst of leading a beautiful expression of the gospel in San Francisco with this community: IKON Christian Community.
There have been many formative experiences in my life as a pastor of nearly 15 years, from slowly completing college to quickly graduating with my M.A. in Contemporary Theology and Philosophy, moving from Chicago to California and marrying the love of my life. All of these and more have served to make me who I am today and it is from these experiences that I write and hope of a new day when the Kingdom of God will be fully realized and Jesus will finish what He started. A day where together we get to experience, firsthand, the renewal of all things.
