Wordle is such a helpful tool when considering what’s next in the life of your blog. The image above is simply a word cloud of the life of this blog… all 5 years. It’s been several months since I’ve looked or thought much about what this space had been/has become and the unplanned sabbatical has been a good break. However, now it’s time to jump back into this space and find a regular rhythm once again.
While reflecting on what this space has become, I found it was more than simply giving voice to my dissatisfaction and grumblings with the status quo but a very important place for personal formation. It’s here that I’ve been challenged to think further, deeper and beyond the small world I inhabit and instead find a broader thought-pattern and voice. So, without any further adieu, I return to the world of blogging/writing with a better understanding of what this venture has been and will continue to be down the road.
So, here’s to a new start… a new beginning… and a better formation than before.

A month and a half ago I decided to take a break from blogging to allow myself some much needed rest and reflection on what this blog is and will be. Although I’m not 100% sure of what it will be (because you, the reader/commenter are instrumental in shaping and forming this blog) I am sure of where I want to go and with you’re help we can move in that direction. I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences of life in the city of San Francisco as well as the joys and struggles of church planting, but what I’m most interested in sharing and forming is how these experiences and how life in general intersect with the Kingdom of God. Obviously there will be debate about the intersection of some of these experiences (which is healthy) and there will be agreement and question about how my opinion and understanding is formulated (also healthy) but ultimately I see this as a journey in which your presence is not only invited but essential.
Journey with me, take a seat and contribute to what this space can and will be. A space where we can venture together into the hope that is the Kingdom, lifting the thin veil in preparation for what is to come.

As you’ve no doubt noticed… there has been a stark lack of content on ye ol’ blog for the past month. So, instead of attempting to throw things up here from time to time to keep things going, I’m going to take a break from blogging for a while. Call it a hiatus if you will. Life has been extremely busy at the moment, and therefore the blog has taken a back seat.
You can still follow me on twitter for the time being. But as of now, I’ll be taking a break until mid-December. Throw me on your RSS feed until then.

My apologies for not updating, or even coming near ye ole blog for the past couple of weeks… it’s been a bit crazy! Anyhow, just a quick update: I’ve been in San Francisco this week looking at apartments and on Tuesday I found one! You can read about it on our San Francisco Project site on the updates page.
Needless to say things are only going to get more crazy from here, however, I do have some posts planned and upcoming as well as some personal updates on the church planting front. But for now, I’ve got to run and get some more things done!
P.S. ~ Glad to see the Bulls drafted Rose… at least they didn’t screw this up… still done being a fan of theirs, however.

Well, Tracy is going to give it a go at blogging regularly once again! She’ll be blogging about life, but more specifically about our journey together as church planters and her perspective as a church planting spouse! She’ll be coming at it from a different perspective than most spouses. Instead of focusing on being a stay-at-home-wife (or mom) she’ll be focusing on what it’s like to balance a career with everything else.
She’s looking to network with others that are on the same journey, so if you know of anyone please send them her way! You can check out her new permanent digs here and follow along on the journey!

Well, I’ve finally decided to jump into the blogging world after being inspired by an article that totally bashes blogging…funny how the things that are perceived by some to be taboo or instruments of evil inspire others to just do it.
So, welcome to my twisted little world…
